| (Frequently Asked Questions)
Q: I read your FAQ but I still want to contact you. Is that okay?
A: Sure! I look forward to hearing from you.
Sharing information
Q: Can I use your care sheet/information for my own website/forum?
A: If you wish to use any of the information contained on this site for your own website, feel free to do so, but please give credit to Spidergecko.com. As a courtesy, please send me an email letting me know you've used the information. If you do not wish to give me credit for any text you use for your own website, please have the courtesy to paraphrase the text you have taken. It is a little irritating for me to read my own sentences, word for word, on unrelated websites. But if you credit Spidergecko.com, feel free to copy the entire text.
Q: Can I use your images for my own website/forum?
A: Do not use any of the images on this site without permission. If you wish to use my images for your own site, please send me an email. I can provide non-watermarked images with higher resolution. If you see my images posted on internet forums or bulletin boards they still require permission from me for use. Just because they are on the internet doesn't mean they are public property.
Q: Can I contribute information/pictures to Spidergecko.com? Can I suggest changes to Spidergecko.com?
A: If you can provide references to your literary sources I would love to add your additional information to the site. If your pictures are unique and I like them, I might add them to the gallery (with credit given to you, of course). Found an error? Let me know! Hate the layout? Let me know!
Q: I found an article on Wikipedia about Agamura persica. Are you contributing to that article?
A: An article was started on Wikipedia but not by me. The text was copied from Spidergecko.com but no credit was given to Spidergecko.com, only to the sources. I added Spidergecko.com as a reference and contributed images. In time, I will add information as I have time. I am trying to keep the article as objective and scientific as possible so I have not added my own care sheet or breeding guide. Please contribute anything you can to Wikipedia to make the article as comprehensive as possible but always remember to add your sources; and let's try to keep it scientific.
Q: Can I add a link to your site on my webpage? Can we swap banners?
A: I no longer participate in banner exchanges but you are welcome to link to Spidergecko.com on your own site if you wish.
Health
Q: My gecko is sick. Can you help me?
A: I can try my best but I am not a veterinarian. I can only give you help from personal experience. Professional help might be the best choice for your animal. If your animal is wild caught seek professional advice.
Q: Why don't you mention UV light in your care guide?
A: Whether or not to use UV light is an ongoing debate. As of yet, there is little to no documented evidence that UV is beneficial to breeding geckos or young. But this doesn't mean I condemn nor condone its use. I have successfully raised spider geckos under UV light and without so the choice to put your money into UV light is yours.
Q: I read your entire site and I'm still having trouble with my spider geckos. Is there anything you're not telling me?
A: Of course, but I like to hear from you so if you have a question, email me. I'm pretty quick to answer.
